Where It All Started

Six years ago, I was just a regular kid with a lot of curiosity. I didn't have a roadmap or a clear vision of becoming a technologist; I just wanted to know how computers worked. Learning digital skills wasn't a choice I made after months of planning—it started with a single spark of interest that grew, one project at a time.

1. The Foundation: Visual Programming

Visual programming tools

Starting small with the basics of logic

My first step into the digital world was through visual programming. Instead of complex code, I used beginner-friendly tools that made problem-solving feel like playing with blocks. This was the most important phase because it taught me:

  • The basic logic behind software and apps
  • How to break down big problems into small steps
  • The feeling of pride when a project actually works!

2. Exploring the Digital Universe

Once I understood the logic, I began exploring every field I could find. Each new tool felt like opening a door to a different world.

Exploring diverse digital skills

Learning to create rather than just consume

1

Design & 3D Tools

Mastering Photoshop, 3D modelling, and graphic design tools gave me a creative voice.

2

Games & Development

From 2D game design to mobile apps and full-scale website development.

3

AI & The Future

Exploring Augmented Reality, Robotics, and the latest in Generative and Agentic AI.

3. Connecting with the Real World

Technology in different industries

Finding technology in every corner of life

One of the biggest lessons was realizing that technology isn't its own island. It connects to everything: Finance, Radiology software, Semiconductor tech, and Healthcare. Understanding code helped me understand how the world itself is built.

🏥

Healthcare & Radiology

Seeing how software saves lives through medical imaging.

💰

Finance & Accounting

Learning how digital systems manage global economies.

Semiconductor Tech

Understanding the hardware that powers our digital ideas.

🌍

Global Opportunity

Realizing that digital skills are a universal language.

Belmans4Kids provides a structured yet fun pathway for your child to master these tools, giving them confidence in the digital world.

4. Developing the Human Side

Personal growth and soft skills

The skills that stay with you forever

Perhaps the most valuable things I've learned aren't related to code at all. My journey in learning digital skills helped me develop personal strengths that apply to everything I do:

Unshakable Confidence
Planning & Organization
Time Management
Analytical Thinking
Psychology & Empathy
Articulate Communication

From Learner to Technologist

Building the future

The journey is just beginning

🎯 Key Takeaways

  • 01Curiosity is the fuel for growth; never be afraid to ask 'how'.
  • 02You don't need to be an expert to start; just take one small step.
  • 03Technology is a canvas for your creativity and path to problem-solving.

Today, I see myself as a technologist, educator, and entrepreneur. But at my core, I'm still that same curious kid. If I can learn these skills step by step, any child can do the same. This 6-year journey proved to me that the future belongs to those who are willing to explore it.
